Mansa Devi Temple, Haridwar: ropeway, trek and darshan
Maa Mansa Devi sits on Bilwa Parvat, the hill above Haridwar. Devotees believe she fulfils the wishes (mansa) of those who pray with a true heart.

Getting up the hill
Most people take the ropeway (udan khatola) from Upper Road. The ride is short and gives you a view of the whole city and the Ganga.
You can also walk up by the steps from the road. It takes a while, so start early in the day if you choose this.
At the temple
Devotees tie a sacred thread on the tree in the temple and come back to untie it once their wish comes true.
Along with Chandi Devi and Maya Devi, Mansa Devi is one of the three Siddh Peeths of Haridwar.
